ACETIC ACID -50 KG PACK

Acetic Acid is also known as ethanoic acid, ethylic acid, vinegar acid, and methane carboxylic acid; it has the chemical formula of CH3COOH. Acetic acid is a byproduct of fermentation, and gives vinegar its characteristic odor. Vinegar is about 4-6% acetic acid in water.

Description

Acetic Acid, systematically named ethanoic acid is a colourless liquid organic compound. When undiluted, it is sometimes called glacial acetic acid. Vinegar is no less than 4% acetic acid by volume, making acetic acid the main component of vinegar apart from water. Acetic acid has a distinctive sour taste and pungent smell. In addition to household vinegar, it is mainly produced as a precursor to polyvinyl acetate and cellulose acetate. It is classified as a weak acid since it only partially  dissociates in solution, but concentrated acetic acid is corrosive and can attack the skin.

Acetic Acid is the second simplest carboxylic acid (after formic acid). It consists of a methyl group attached to a carboxyl group. It is an important chemical reagent and industrial chemical, used primarily in the production of cellulose acetate for photographic film, polyvinyl acetate for wood glue, and synthetic fibres and fabrics. In households, diluted acetic acid is often used in descaling agents. In the food industry, acetic acid is controlled by the food additive code E260 as an acidity regulator and as a condiment. In biochemistry, the acetyl group, derived from acetic acid, is fundamental to all forms of life. When bound to coenzyme A, it is central to the metabolism of carbohydrates and fast.

Formula:CH₃COOH
Acetic Acid is used as a sour agent added in vinegar, pickled vegetables, and sauce, and as a raw material for spice. When used as a food additive, acetic acid can be indicated by its group name, substance name, or abbreviated name according to the purpose of use.
Acetic Acid is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of bacterial or fungal infections in the ear. Acetic Acid may be used alone or with other medications. Acetic Acid belongs to a class of drugs called Otics, Other; Anti-infectives, Otic.
Effects on Humans: In vapor form, Acetic Acid is a severe irritant of the eyes, mucous membranes, upper respiratory tract, and skin. In contact with the skin or eyes, acetic acid solutions of 80% or more can be corrosive, causing severe burns of any exposed tissue.
Acetic Acid is generally recognized as safe for use in foods if it is of “food-grade” and is used in accord with good manufacturing processes. Acetic acid is considered “food-grade” if it complies with the specifications in Food Chemicals Codex.
Acetic Acid (CH3COOH), also called ethanoic acid, the most important of the carboxylic acids. A dilute (approximately 5 percent by volume) solution of acetic acid produced by fermentation and oxidation of natural carbohydrates is called vinegar; a salt, ester, or acylal of acetic acid is called acetate.
The Acetic Acid found in apple cider vinegar may provide several health benefits. For some people, acid reflux may be a result of too little stomach acid. Proponents of this remedy claim apple cider vinegar might be beneficial because it introduces more acid into the digestive tract.
Vinegar is an aqueous solution of Acetic Acid and trace compounds that may include flavorings. Vinegar typically contains 5–8% acetic acid by volume. Usually, the acetic acid is produced by a double fermentation, converting simple sugars to ethanol using yeast, and ethanol to acetic acid by acetic acid bacteria.
